The South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board (SA MDB NRM Board) was formed in 2005 and undertakes an active role in the management of natural resources within their region in accordance with the Natural Resources Management Act 2004.
The SA MDB NRM Board has established four NRM groups. The Rangelands NRM Group is actively involved in the development and implementation of the regional NRM plan at the local level. They also provide advice to the SA MDB NRM Board and promote public awareness of integrated natural resources management within their designated area.
The Goyder, Peterborough, Mid Murray, and Northern District Council areas and unincorporated areas are all located within the Rangelands NRM Groups Area.
