The South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board (SA MDB NRM Board) was formed in 2005 and undertakes an active role in the management of natural resources within its region in accordance with the Natural Resources Management Act 2004.
The SAMDB NRM Board established four NRM Groups to provide a locally focused link between the Board’s strategic position and the activities of the community.
The Ranges to River NRM Group is actively involved in the development and implementation of the NRM plan at this local level. We provide advice to the SA MDB NRM Board on local community issues and promote public awareness of integrated natural resources management with an emphasis on good land management practices and pest plant and animal control.
The Ranges to River Group has a long term goal to encourage cultural change that recognises the limits imposed by a fragile and fickle environment. We are committed to working with all levels of government and with the community to bring about this change for the benefit of this and future generations.
Public Group meetings are usually held on the third Tuesday of each month with some variations. Meeting dates are advertised in the local papers.
